Payment location, the "Payments by location" report, and receipts with payments
This update is about the money: where it is recorded, what the receipt says, and which device issues the reversal. A payment carries its own location — the one where the money actually comes in — and there is a report that groups by it.
✨ In short
- New "Payment location" field in the payment form, under "Collected by".
- The cash register must belong to the same location, or the payment is not saved.
- New "Payments by location" report with a "By location" permission and drill-down to the payments list.
- The filters are called "Payment location" and "Sale location".
- A client filter in the payments list, the installments, and the summaries by date, method, location, and collector.
- The sale receipt shows payments and installments, the paid and the remaining amount.
- The reversal receipt is issued by the fiscal device that printed the original receipt.
- A "Has booking" / "Has no booking" condition in the issued memberships reports.
Payment location
In the sale payment form, under "Collected by", there is a "Payment location" field. It is prefilled with the location you work in and you can change it. In a business with a single location the field is not shown.
The payment location is where the money physically comes in. It can differ from the location of the sale — for example, when a client buys in one location and pays the rest in another. The sale stays with its own location, while the money received is recorded at the location of the payment.
When you open a saved payment, it shows its location. In the list of payments on the sale, the location is written under "Collected by" only when it differs from the location of the sale.
The register and the location go together
If you choose a cash register from another location, "The selected cash register belongs to another location." appears under the field and the payment is not saved until the two match. Registers from closed locations are not offered.
The same check applies to the expense form and to commission payouts.
The details are in How to add a payment to a sale.
The "Payments by location" report
In Reports → Payments there is a "Payments by location" view. It groups the money received by the location where it came in, with the columns "Count", "Income gross", "Income returns", "Income net", and "Expenses total". From each row you can drill down to the detailed payments list.
The filters in payment reports are called "Payment location", and those in sales reports "Sale location". That shows what was sold where and what was paid where.
The view has its own "By location" permission. To let employees see it, open the "Employees" list, choose "Roles" or "Edit Permissions", and add the permission.
Client filter in payments
The payments list, the installments, and the summaries by date, method, location, and collector have a client filter. Use it when you need to see what one person has paid across several sales. "Tips list" is per employee and does not have it.

The receipt shows payments and installments
"Download receipt" from the sale menu produces a PDF where, under the amounts, you find:
- "Paid amount" and "Remaining amount", or "Overpaid amount" when the client paid more. For a refunded or voided sale, that place holds "Status";
- a "Payments" section with the columns "Paid at", "Payment method", and "Amount"; adjustments carry a "Voided", "Refunded", or "Tax base reduction" label under "Status";
- an "Installments" section with "Due date", "Amount", "Paid amount", "Remaining amount", and "Status", when there is an installment plan.
A section without data is not shown, and a receipt without prices hides both.
Reversal from the original device
The reversal receipt is issued by the fiscal device that printed the original receipt. Before the adjustment, the system reads the fiscal memory serial number of the selected device:
- the same device — the adjustment is recorded and the reversal receipt is printed;
- a different device — the adjustment is not recorded, and the message states which fiscal memory must issue the receipt;
- a device that does not respond — the adjustment is recorded and the receipt is printed later from the device that issued the original.
If you work at several stations with different devices, make the adjustment from the station with the device that printed the original receipt. The serial number is shown on the payment screen.
The details are in Payment voids and refunds.
"Has booking" and "Has no booking" for memberships
In "Issued memberships" the "Client bookings" filter group has a "Condition" field with two values — "Has booking" and "Has no booking". The condition applies to "Service", "Service category", and "Booking date" below it.
"Has no booking" finds clients with an active membership who have not booked the selected service in the period — the list the front desk calls through.
Every booking counts, whatever its status, cancelled and upcoming ones included. So "Has no booking" means "no record at all in this period", not "did not show up".
