Package services

This page is about package services. They are a separate service type and work differently from single and group services. The common service fields are described in Create and edit a service; this page focuses only on the package-specific logic.

When to use this page

  • When you sell several services as one combined offer.
  • When you want several services to be scheduled together.
  • When price and duration should come from a combination of already existing services.

Before you start

  • Make sure the services included in the package already exist.
  • Verify they are assigned to the correct categories and locations.

How the package part is organised

For a package service, the most important block is "Services in package".

There you:

  • choose which services are included in the package;
  • set "Package price type" and "Package price" for each service;
  • arrange the services in order;
  • configure when each service starts through "Start after (minutes)";
  • use "One after another" and "Same start time" when you want to arrange the whole package at once;
  • use "Start options" on a single row when only one service needs different timing;
  • see "Total duration" and "Total price".

How to create a package service

  1. Open "Services" -> "New service".
  2. Choose "Package service".
  3. Fill in the main service fields.
  4. In "Services in package", add at least 2 services.
  5. Reorder the services if needed.
  6. Configure when the services start:
    • use "One after another" when services should happen one after another;
    • use "Same start time" when services should start together;
    • for a single service, open "Start options" and choose "At package start", "With previous service", or "After previous service";
    • when needed, enter the exact value in "Start after (minutes)".
  7. For each item in the package, set:
    • "Package price type"
    • "Package price", if the type is not free
  8. Review the total duration and total price.
  9. Save the package.

What is different for package services

  • you do not work with the standard employee list used for single and group services;
  • you do not work with the standard pricing options;
  • instead, the package is built from already existing services and their settings.

How pricing works in a package

For each included service you set:

  • "Package price type"
  • "Package price", if the type is not free

The total package price is calculated from the rows inside the package and shown below the list.

This is different from single and group services, where you work with separate pricing options.

How package timing works

Package timing is not controlled by one global setting for all rows. Instead, each row in "Services in package" has its own start time relative to the package start.

Practical rules:

  • "Start after (minutes)" defines how many minutes after the package start that service begins;
  • the value in "Start after (minutes)" can be from 0 to 10080 minutes;
  • "One after another" fills the start times so each next service begins after the previous one ends;
  • "Same start time" sets all services to start at 0 minutes;
  • "At package start" sets only the selected row to 0 minutes;
  • "With previous service" copies the previous service start time;
  • "After previous service" places the service after the previous service ends.

"Total duration" is calculated up to the latest end time in the package. This means services may overlap, start together, or have a gap between them if their start times are configured that way.

When a package service is not the best choice

A package service is not the best choice when:

  • you are actually selling one service with different variants;
  • you need a group service with multiple participants, not a bundle of services;
  • you only need different prices, without combining multiple services.

FAQ

How many services must a package contain?

At least two.

Where do I configure package pricing?

Inside "Services in package", at the level of the included services, not through the standard pricing options.

Can some services in the package start together while others start later?

Yes. Configure "Start after (minutes)" from 0 to 10080 minutes for each row or use "Start options".
