Substitution in HIS
When a substitute or contracted doctor sees patients in place of the titular doctor, NHIS accepts their examinations only in a period registered by the titular doctor. The period is kept in NHIS, not in the application.
Before you start
- The titular doctor signs the registration with their own qualified electronic signature, so work on the computer with their certificate, through the desktop application.
- The substitute doctor must be an employee with "UIN of the medical specialist" filled in.
Register a period
- Open "Integrations" → "HIS" → "Substitution in HIS".
- In "Titular", choose the doctor who will be substituted.
- Press "Check in HIS". Under "Active substitutions" you see "Substitutes for this doctor" and "This doctor substitutes" — with UIN, role, medical facility and periods.
- Press "Add". In "New period", choose the "Substitute doctor", the "Role" ("Substitute" or "Contracted staff"), the "Medical facility", the "Start date" and the "End date".
- Press "Register the period". The titular doctor signs with their own qualified electronic signature.
If NHIS has no substitutions for the doctor, you see "HIS has no active substitutions for this doctor."
Remove a period
Under "Substitutes for this doctor", press "Remove the period" next to the period you want to remove, and confirm. After that, NHIS refuses the substitute's examinations in that period.
In the examination
In the substitute's examination, choose their role in "Examination and specialist" and fill in "Substitute specialist". See E-examination.
