Inventory reports
Inventory reports are used to control stock levels, movements, and sales of inventory items.
Available views
- Inventory stocks
- Stock movements
- Inventory sales by date
How to choose the right view
- Inventory stocks is for current stock levels. It usually shows the product, inventory location, quantity, unit cost, total cost, minimum quantity, and reorder quantity.
- Stock movements is for history. It shows when a movement happened, in which inventory location, in what quantity, at what cost, and with what reason or reference record.
- Inventory sales by date is a summarized report by period. It shows count, amount, cost, and profit by date and lets you drill down to the sales list behind the selected day.
What is useful to keep in mind
- The first two views are closer to operational control.
- Inventory sales by date is more analytical and supports table and chart views.
- If your goal is to configure products, locations, or deliveries, use Inventory, not the reports.
Availability
- These reports require the inventory feature to be active.
