Selling memberships

This page describes the exact flow for selling a membership plan and for creating a personal membership.

When to use this page​

Use it when:

  • you want to sell an existing membership plan;
  • you want to create a personal membership;
  • you are not sure where to start a membership sale from.

Before you start​

  • The Memberships feature must be active for the business.
  • You must have access to work with memberships.
  • The sale always belongs to a specific client, even if the client is not selected at the very beginning.

Where the sale can start from​

A membership sale can start from:

  • "Membership plans" -> "Sell" for a specific plan;
  • "Issued memberships" -> "Sell membership";
  • client profile, "Memberships" tab -> "Sell membership";
  • directly from "Sale".

Sell a membership plan​

  1. Open "Sale" from one of the entry points above.
  2. Select the client if it is not already prefilled.
  3. Open "Add Items for sale".
  4. Open the "Memberships" tab.
  5. Select an existing membership plan.
  6. Save the sale.

Result when selling a plan​

  • the system creates an issued membership for the client;
  • the issued membership is linked to the specific sale item;
  • the membership appears in Issued memberships and in the "Memberships" tab in the client profile.

Create a personal membership​

  1. Open "Sale".
  2. Select the client if it is not already prefilled.
  3. Open "Add Items for sale".
  4. In the "Memberships" tab, click "Create personal membership".
  5. Fill in validity, usage type, included services, and "Selling price".
  6. Confirm with the "Create a personal membership" button.
  7. Save the sale.

Result when creating a personal membership​

  • the sale gets an item named "Personal membership plan";
  • the system creates an issued membership without a central plan;
  • the membership appears in Issued memberships and in the "Memberships" tab in the client profile.

Important​

  • The issued membership appears only after the sale is saved.
  • If the sale is deleted, the issued membership stops being active.
  • If you set a future start date, the membership will be visible but unusable until that date.
