Resources

Resources are rooms, devices, chairs, beds, and other equipment that must be available for a service to be performed. Add resources when a service depends not only on an employee, but also on limited physical capacity.

When you need resources

  • When you have a room, cabinet, or device shared by multiple employees.
  • When you want to limit how many parallel bookings can use the same equipment.
  • When availability should depend on a resource in addition to the employee.

What to do

  1. Open "Resources".
  2. Select "New resource".
  3. Fill in the main details:
    • "Name"
    • "Description" if needed
    • "Location"
    • "Capacity"
  4. Set "Color" if needed.
  5. Turn on "Active resource".
  6. Save with "Create" or "Save".
  7. Open the services that use this resource and enable "Resources" in the service settings.

What matters

  • "Capacity" is the number of parallel bookings the resource can handle.
  • A resource belongs to a specific location, so add it to the correct location.
  • If the resource is not active, it will not be useful in day-to-day work.
  • Creating the resource alone is not enough. It starts affecting bookings only after it is linked to a service.
  • If you enable "Uses resource availability" in the service, available slots will also depend on the resource.
  • If you enable "Allow resource selection" in the service, clients can choose a resource during online booking.
