Cash registers

The Cash registers module is used to manage separate registers inside the business. Here you track the current balance of each register and use actions such as withdraw, transfer, and payment review.

note

This page is about business cash balances, not about the physical fiscal devices. For that flow, see Fiscal devices and fiscal printing.

When to use this page

  • When the business works with more than one register.
  • When you want to track balances by location or work point.
  • When payments and expenses must be recorded to a specific register.

What you see in the list

  • Name
  • Location
  • Initial amount
  • Current Balance
  • Active or Inactive

Each row also has an action menu with:

  • Withdraw
  • Edit cash register
  • Transfer
  • View payments
  • Withdraws history

Steps: Create a cash register

  1. Open Settings → Cash registers.
  2. Choose New cash register.
  3. Fill in:
    • Register Name
    • Location
    • responsible employee if applicable
    • Initial amount
    • Active cash register
  4. Save.

How it is used in day-to-day work

  • In Add payment, you can choose which register receives the payment.
  • In Add an expense, you can choose which register the money leaves from.
  • From the register itself, you can review the payments and related movements.

How withdrawal works

  • With Withdraw, you do not withdraw an arbitrary amount. You withdraw the difference between the current balance and Initial amount for next day.
  • This lets you leave a starting amount for the next workday.
  • If there is no available amount to withdraw, the system does not allow the operation.
  • In Withdraws history, you can review each withdrawal separately.

How transfer between cash registers works

  • In Transfer, you choose:
    • the source cash register;
    • the destination cash register;
    • the payment method;
    • the amount;
    • the note.
  • The system shows the available balance for transfer from the selected source register.
  • You cannot transfer to the same cash register.
  • The transfer moves an amount between two cash registers and is recorded as matching movements.
