Commissions
The Commissions module is used to configure and pay employee commissions. In navigation it appears as a separate area with:
- Settings - where you define the rules;
- Payouts - where you pay accumulated amounts;
- detailed lists in Reports → Commissions.
This matters because settings, payouts, and reports are not the same screen.
If the business uses commissions, start with Settings and define the rules first. Payouts come later, after commissions have already accumulated from real paid sales.
Important
- The module is a paid feature.
- The help text inside the settings screen explicitly states that commissions accumulate after a sale has been created and paid.
Settings
In Settings you define how commissions should be calculated:
- whether they should be calculated before discounts;
- whether they should be calculated before taxes;
- whether consumables should be excluded;
- whether membership sale discount should affect commissions.
Then you choose:
- the commission recipient - a specific employee or Everyone;
- what the rules are set by - for example services, inventory items, or default values.
For each rule you can:
- set a value;
- choose the type:
- percentage of the sale;
- fixed value;
- save a custom rule;
- reset a rule back to the default value;
- update several selected records at once.
Payouts
In Payouts you see employees with accumulated balances in the Amount column.
From the menu for each employee you can:
- choose Pay off to enter an amount for payout;
- open Paid commission to see already paid commissions for that employee;
- open Commission list to see the latest accrued commissions.
The actual payout opens a short Payouts modal where you enter Commission value and save the operation.
Where the detailed lists are
The detailed lists live in Reports → Commissions:
- Last - latest accrued commissions;
- Paid - history of paid commissions;
- Commissions by employees
- Commissions by date
These screens are meant for checking accrued or paid data, not for configuring rules or creating a new payout.
