Categories

The Categories page is used to group and find products more easily.

What you see in the list​

  • Category name - the category name and description.
  • Active - active state indicator.

Creating and editing​

In New category or Edit category, you configure:

  • Name;
  • Description;
  • whether the category is active.

Actions from the list​

  • New category - creates a new category.
  • Edit category - edits a category.
  • Delete category / Restore category - deletes or restores a category.

Where categories are used​

  • in Products for a clearer catalog structure;
  • in product import, when you want to group items during the import;
  • in filters and lists, when you need to find a specific group of products.

Limitations​

  • The name is required.
  • The description is optional.

The page supports search and filtering.
