Managing Reservations in Marketplace

In Marketplace, you can manage a reservation from "Reservation details" when the business allows the matching actions. The available actions depend on the location rules, booking type, deadline, and current availability. For a new online booking, Marketplace can also show "Reservation policies" in "Appointment confirmation" before you confirm.

When to use this​

Use this page when you want to:

  • choose a new day and time for a single appointment;
  • change the number of seats for a group class;
  • cancel a reservation;
  • see your waiting-list position;
  • add the reservation to a calendar.

Before you start​

Check that you are signed in and opening the correct reservation from "My appointments". If an action is missing or unavailable, the usual reason is a deadline, a location rule, the booking type, or no available seats.

What is under "Manage reservation"​

In "Reservation details", "Manage reservation" can show:

  • "Choose new date and time";
  • "Change number of seats";
  • "Cancel reservation".

An action can show a deadline or an explanation why it is unavailable. If the location added rules, you can open them from:

  • "View date and time change rules";
  • "View seat change rules";
  • "View cancellation rules".

For a new online booking, a similar summary can appear earlier as "Reservation policies" in "Appointment confirmation". It shows the deadlines and rules for cancellation, date/time changes, or seat changes based on the booking type.

What you see on a waiting list​

If your reservation is on a waiting list, "Reservation details" can show your specific position in the list. When a specific position is not available, it shows "You are on the waiting list."

How to choose a new date and time​

  1. Open "My appointments".
  2. Select the reservation and open "Reservation details".
  3. Under "Manage reservation", select "Choose new date and time".
  4. In the calendar, choose a new available day and time.
  5. Check "Selected time".
  6. Select "Save".

After success, Marketplace shows that the reservation was rescheduled successfully.

How to change the number of seats​

  1. Open "Reservation details" for the group class.
  2. Under "Manage reservation", select "Change number of seats".
  3. In "Change number of seats", choose the new number under "Reserved seats".
  4. Check "Current seats" and the maximum number that can be reserved.
  5. Select "Save".

The "Save" button appears only when the new number of seats is different from the current one and inside the allowed range.

How to cancel a reservation​

  1. Open "Reservation details".
  2. Under "Manage reservation", select "Cancel reservation".
  3. Optionally fill in "Reason for cancellation".
  4. Select "Confirm cancellation".

After success, Marketplace shows that the reservation was canceled successfully.

How to use calendar sync​

Under "Prepare for your visit", you may see "Calendar sync".

Depending on your device and permissions, you can:

  • use "Allow access" to allow calendar access;
  • use "Turn on sync" to enable automatic sync;
  • use "Stop sync" to stop syncing;
  • use "Download file" when automatic sync is not available and you want to add the reservation manually.

Important​

  • "Choose new date and time" is for single appointments.
  • "Change number of seats" is for group classes.
  • An online-paid booking may block seat changes through Marketplace.
  • If the deadline has passed, Marketplace shows that the action is no longer available.
  • If there is no other allowed number of seats, the seat change cannot be saved.
  • The waiting-list position is shown only when it is available for your reservation.

Common issues​

I do not see "Manage reservation"​

The location may not have enabled self-service changes, the booking may not be the correct type, or the action deadline may have passed.

I cannot choose a new time​

Only available times that match the location and online booking rules can be selected.

I cannot change the number of seats​

Check whether seats are available and whether the new number is within the limit for the reservation.
