Working hours by location
The “By location” screen defines the general time frame in which each location operates. This is the base schedule on top of which employees, services, and online bookings work.
When to use it
Use this page when you want to define:
- which days each location works;
- the start and end time of the day;
- whether there is more than one shift in a day.
How to configure it
- Open "Working hours" -> "By location".
- Use "Add" to create one or more shifts, for example
09:00 - 13:00and14:00 - 18:00. - In the table, mark which days and which locations each shift applies to.
- If needed, click a shift to edit it or use the remove button.
- Click "Save".
tip
If the location has a lunch break, create two separate shifts instead of one continuous shift.
What this setting controls
- This is the broadest frame in which the location can accept bookings.
- If in the online booking settings the location uses "Use working schedule from" ->
Location, online slots follow these exact working hours. - If the location uses
Employees, online slots are calculated from employee schedules, but still within the active location.
What this page does not do
- it does not automatically create employee schedules;
- it does not assign employees to the location;
- it does not block one-off absences or breaks.
What is not configured here
- If employees work in different shifts, configure that in By employees.
- If you need to temporarily close specific hours or days, use Blocked time.
note
If a location has no working hours configured, the calendar and online bookings will not have a working frame for it.
