Blocked time
“Blocked time” is a period in the calendar during which no new bookings are accepted. It is useful for breaks, internal meetings, inventory or temporary unavailability.
What you will learn
- How to add and edit blocked time.
- How blocked time affects slots in the calendar and online.
Steps (from Calendar)
- Go to "Calendar".
- Click "New blocked time" or select a time range in the day.
- Fill in a reason (optional) and choose start and end time; choose whether it applies to the location or a specific employee.
- Confirm with "Save".
Tip
Use blocked time for one‑off exceptions. For systemic changes to the workday, adjust the location working hours or employee schedules.
Logic and impact
- During a blocked period no slots are shown for new bookings.
- If blocked time is at location level — it affects all employees in that location; if it is for an employee — it only affects their availability.
- For online bookings, the effect applies regardless of whether you use “Location” or “Employees” as the source of working hours.
note
“Outside working hours” is a calendar view option to show ± hours beyond working hours. It does not change availability; blocked time does.
