Blocked time

“Blocked time” is a period in the calendar during which no new bookings are accepted. It is useful for breaks, internal meetings, inventory or temporary unavailability.

Steps (from Calendar)

  1. Go to "Calendar".
  2. Click "New blocked time" or select a time range in the day.
  3. Fill in a reason (optional) and choose start and end time; choose whether it applies to the location or a specific employee.
  4. Confirm with "Save".
Tip

Use blocked time for one‑off exceptions. For systemic changes to the workday, adjust the location working hours or employee schedules.

Logic and impact

  • During a blocked period no slots are shown for new bookings.
  • If blocked time is at location level — it affects all employees in that location; if it is for an employee — it only affects their availability.
  • For online bookings, the effect applies regardless of whether you use “Location” or “Employees” as the source of working hours.

“Outside working hours” is a calendar view option to show ± hours beyond working hours. It does not change availability; blocked time does.
