Integration with the National Health Information System (NHIS)
What is the NHIS integration?
The integration with the National Health Information System (NHIS) is designed for healthcare institutions that want to digitize and automate their processes. With this integration, you can easily manage patient bookings, perform Electronic Examinations, and submit data directly to NHIS in compliance with regulatory requirements.
How to enable the integration
1. Check your subscription
- Make sure you have an active plan that includes NHIS support. The integration is available only to users whose subscription includes the NHIS option.
2. Install the Reservation.Studio desktop app
- Install the desktop app from the official website. This is the only required software for communicating with NHIS. No additional software is needed—the platform works directly with your QES (qualified electronic signature).
3. Configure locations
- Each location must be configured with the correct Healthcare Facility Registration Number, consistent with the NHIS registry. This ensures the facility’s activities are linked to the national information system.
4. Configure staff
- Each medical specialist must be added with:
- Unique Identification Number (UIN): Required for identifying the specialist in NHIS.
- Specialty code: The official specialty code provided for each specialist.
How the integration works

- The Reservation.Studio desktop app working with your QES.
- Correctly configured facility registration number, UINs, and specialty codes for staff.
Frequently asked questions
Does the desktop app rely on other software for QES?
No. The Reservation.Studio desktop app works directly with your QES; no additional software is required.
What happens if I don’t set a specialty code for a staff member?
The specialty code is mandatory. Without it, the healthcare professional cannot perform Electronic Examinations and data submission to NHIS will be blocked.
Do I need to use the desktop app for everything?
Yes. All NHIS-related operations, including setup and synchronization, are performed through the desktop app.
What happens to data if the integration is stopped?
Data in Reservation.Studio remains, but information will no longer be synchronized with NHIS.
